Stillen Body Kit/Front Lip
Whats up everyone???? I just purchased Stillen front lip for my 2000 Max. Ive been getting estimates on the painting and installation from body shops in my area. The estimates range from $250 to $350!!!!!!! Mind you, this is just for a front lip paint and install. I did not expect the price of this to be so expensive. My question to you guys is how much did you guys pay for your Stillen Body Kit paint and install? Do any of you have the front lip only? If you do, how much did you pay for the installation? If any of you are in the LA area, please let me know where you had it done and how much?????? THANK YOU
I paid..
$200 for the paint and install.

Expect to pay between 600 to 1,000 to get the whole kit painted and installed. The better you want it to fit the more your gonna have to pay. Meaning no kit fits perfactly so if you want it perfact get it molded.

He means...
Molding it to fit the contour of the original body. Unless your car is going to be in shows, i dont think it is necessary. My main concern was the qulaity of the paint and making sure the color match's perfectly. At the moment, I only have the front lip on my Grey luster car and it looks real dope. My body shop tells me if i get the side skirts and rear section, they will charge me @$500-600 for painting an installing this. That sounds reasonable considering the quality work they do.

It really depends on the kit and shop. For a little kit with no molding i would say around 6 for quality. If you get a big full bumper replacment and want it to fit real well, a grand is average. If you want the full bumper replacement moded in any way could be 1500. Now a full custom kit which i'm designing for my max will run you 2000-3000. It really just depends how well you want it to fit and how much of a perfectionest you are. Area and shop rep plays into as well.
Molding is using body filler to mold it to the original bumper. Or if it's a whole bumper using a combo of body filler(usily bondo)and or fiberglass to make it match to corners and ridges perfactly.

most stillen kit has excellent fit to your body.
you really do not need any excess materials to acheive that perfect fit look. for my front lip, all it required were 3 screws on each end bolted to my bumper, and some double sided tapes to hold the center part of the lip. the install took about 10 minutes...
