Got new tails - Rice or Nice?

just bought these on ebay for $50. i was tired with the original 2k1 SE tails so thought of giving a different look. to me they look good on my car because its pearl white. i dont know how they would look on dark cars but anyway it could be rice to few of you but to each his own so all comments welcomed.

these lights are for 02-03 maxima only. the seller who sold me these lights didnt know that they wont fit 00-01 maxima because of different design of sockets. i ended up buying new 02 maxima harnesses. once i informed the seller about this he refunded me $15 and realised that these tails are only for 02-03 maxima. if you have 02 or 03 maxima then these are plug and play but if you have 00 or 01 maxima then you gotta buy new 02 maxima's harness in order to make these work. and this seller is out of stock at the moment but here is the another seller on ebay that carry the same tails.

I like the way the red plays into the red. I like the way the amber plays into the amber up front. Its like matching your belt to your shoes.

I saw someone on the Mass Pike with those tail lights, in person it looks really ricey. Looks good and matches your rims though. If I had to pick redding out the lens or buying those off ebay, I'd still red out since the chrome is darker for the OEM and less flashy. Each to his own!

On second look the chrome does look brighter than OE but they still look decent, especially with price taken into account

i dont know how to get rid of that gap. i am gonna try to bring the tail lights little out so it can align the trunk lid. the gap is about the same on both side and i believe its normal but i might work on it.

You should shave the trunk and take the gap out of your wheel well... ie drop. As far as the gap between your trunk and light that looks about normal.
