More led goodies

These LEDs are done by a different person. This was introduced to me by a member on this fourm and his buddy was doing LEDs. These pictures are of the dome light, map light and license plate frame light assemblies. These pictures don't do any justice to how bright the LEDs really are.

I'd rather not say who I got them from until they post on here themselves.

As for the lip, I'm not sure if you can get it anymore. But I'm not 100% sure on that. Also next time please PM me about it instead of asking on my thread about the lip. Thank you

Hey, just wanted to say sorry for the shipping mishap and the bulb thing. I didn't have a lot of free time to do these ASAP, but I'm glad you got them! PM me if you have any issues or questions about them!

Are you having any problems with your dome light when it's on the "door" setting? Zero2SixtyZ is having some problem, but we think it's his housing. Your housings were in much better condition than Z's.

Oh BTW, I sent your LED bulbs out yesterday via USPS priority.

And don't worry about using my name, Z's posted up some of my other work and I've chimed in on LED threads. Plus, I'm not offering my LEDs to the public yet, yours were kind of a special case for Z.

Anyway, glad you like them!

Thanks dark.

Yeah I'm having a bit of blinking when the dome is left on door setting but other than that if left on the "on" setting its fine.

Hey, Z is having a problem like that... I'm going to try something next time I get a chance, and if it works, I'll inform you and show you how you can fix it.

Just an idea for now... but you'll be getting a PM when I figure it out.

Love the Dome LED, heres a pic of my Plate LED

Got this led bar at autozone for $16 ,. if you can notice i also have leds in where the plate bulbs go you might be able to see in the pic , they suck, there dim, they are made by Pilot, there 194 replacement leds , if you consider getting the pilot ones, DONT, they suck.

I just ordered some 168 "Super White" LEDs from lightlens.com to see if i can get somewhat similar results to this. Somehow I doubt it, but I already have one that's burned out so it can't hurt. Might be a waste of money though for almost $17

I did the same thing with my extra ones I had on my side markers. Worst decision ever cause they are dim like you said. I might as well go custom or something cause the ones I have on now suck.

I was tinting my windows today <i got a nice gash on my knuckle with 6 stitches in it now because of the metalband that help you pull the door shut> since i had the door switches off to remove the glass to do a good tint job, i took the liberty to open up the switches, , its a very simple step, just the 2 tabs that hold it together, not the tabs on top where the switch rocks, open it up be careful not to lose the little plastic pins that act as plungers to operate the switch, after that, you can see the led and its soldered right on top, the switch even has a resistor built in for the led so you wont burn out new ones, takes about 10 mins to do the switches, and the blue looks great, i love it. ^_^

I can do a write up with pics later on if anyone is interested.

These pictures do not do the led any justice as they are much brighter and the light is displaced very well.

What brands/bulbs would create these awsome interior lights like this?
Dome/Map/Step lights espically.

? I know a few lighting sites but with so much to choose from and so much crap out there I want to get the right ones the first time. I really like the clear white look these have in the interior.

I actually purchased the Pilot LEDs from Pepboys. I have them in the Map, Step and License plate. The lights consist of eight LEDs with a variety of connectors for different bulbs.

This pic does the led justice!

Here are my led mods.

The licence leds are type 194 from v-leds.com it looks blueish because of the reflection from my majestic blue car paint, its white at night.

Notice how the bright leds shines on to the ground.

My super bright blue led step light.

Step light from another angle.

This is the clear sidemarker leds they are white when look at, and my 8k aftermarket hids.

Your LED's look awesome.
Dont see why people want to make there license plates look brighter. Maybe so cops can see em' better?
BTW, with your dome light, does it stay dim while its in the "DOOR" position?

Yes as long as you get the right size/set

LEDs rock! Got mine from autolumination.com

Dome light, parking lights, and ignition ring.

The rest are Polarg M4 194 bulbs...

Yes it does just a little though you have to stare at it to notice.

Yeah there bright, the ones you saw wasent the one in the pic because the cops *****ed and moaned about it, so i took the leds outa that light bar , i had some 194 red leds, I desolderd them off and soldered 4 leds on each of the 194 bases, now i got 4 leds per 194 base in each license plate light housing , the base has a surface mount resistor so i wont cook them with the 12 volt source, what you saw was my home made ones

Think about it this way. If a cop pulls up behind 2 cars. One with bright license plate lights and one with dim lights where he/she can barely see. Which car looks more suspicious?

Exactly why I use the polarg m4 bulbs for the license plate. When it's dark you can tell the lighting is white. But the output isn't very bright so...you get the idea.

okay since some of you have all the same LEDs, lets see you get a hold of a set of LED strips from an Audi S6 and mount that to your cars front bumper...
mmmm....pretty...*hint* its a project i'm working on...

SilMax00, Those lights are very nice. Saw them on an S6, and loved them. However, I don't know where you would mount them, but our front ends don't have the big air dams like the Audis. Keep us updated regardless.
