getting "service engine soon" light after cleaning air filter

I cleaned my air filter today and i noticed that when I was putting everything back together, the thin black rubber washer that goes between the maf and the piece that connects to the intake kind of came unglued and so I had to wedge it in there the best I could. First time, I didn't notice it was all the way in because the car was stalling and so I i put it in there as best as I could, but I'm still getting the "service engine soon" light. I did notice that there is a watery substance coming from where the maf and the piece that connects to the intake. I'm guessing there is a vacuum leak somewhere, but if that is the case, do I need that black washer or can I just connect the two together without it?

Run by your local AutoZone, they will be able to check it for you for free.

Check out the code. Mine comes on on rare occasions and my Nissan service man told me to drive it a couple of days and see if it'll go out. It did!
