Help - Head light issue

I have a 2002 maxima with xenon headlights. My passenger side head light is out. I switched the bulb into the right headlight and the bulb isn't the problem. Does anyone know what could be the problem and what I would need to fix this? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks

any idea how to check this? How much is the ballast? What about fuses or something like that? Where are they located on the car?

Are you getting power to the light socket?
Check the relays, passenger and drivers side have their own relay. Not sure if they power the high beams as well.
That is where I would start.

To be able to see the ballast you may need to take the headlight out. Just remove the 2 bolts at the top to do that. Make sure all wires are secure, I have a feeling one may be loose.

The fuses are in the engine bay underneath black plastic covers. I believe it's on the left side. Lift the tabs and see if any have been shorted out.

Just to let you know...in case you do need a ballast.

I will have one for sale very soon. Car is currently being fixed up and I have a new headlight coming in so you can get the ballast from my old one.

The high beam does work if that helps eliminate any possibilities. I used a fuse checker on the fuses in the engine bay on the driver side. They all appeared good. Does anyone know the location of the fuse for the headlight? Is the relay in the box on the passenger side? Is that the thing thats sorta like a plug? What would I be looking for there? And how would I know if the ballast is bad from looking at it? Thanks for all the help so far. I really appreciate everyones input.
