RTB brake rotor zinc plated, how they look?

Gents,
Looking at ordering the group deal for RTB zinc plated rotor blanks w/ Axxis deluxe pads. Who has these rotors and how is the zinc plating holding up? How does it look now compared to new? How long have you had them on? Would you buy them again? I tried that hi temp rotor clear coat and it looks like crap about a year ago and it looks like crap.

Ive purchased through the group deal and have never looked back. Quality is awsome, zinc plating is well worth it as its been over a year and they still look great. I didnt go with the Axxis pads though, Ive heard that theyre a bit noisy. Instead I went with Hawk HPS pads.

Are you referring to RTP instead of RTB?

If it's RTP, I also have them & they are very good quality. I've had them for over 2 years and I use them all year round in Canada, where temperatures vary a lot & there's tons of salt on the roads. Mine are also x-drilled.

The zinc plating is holding up great. I'd highly recommend spraying VHT high temp clear coat on the zinc plating before you install them, if not, the salt will start to eat away at the plating (this is assuming you have snow where you live). The clear coat doesnt change the look of the plating either. I didn't plate my front rotors & they are showing corrosion.

Here's a pic:

The Axxis Deluxe have been marketed under their pad that produces the least amount of brake dust and noise. The HPS causes more dusting and noise.

I have the RTP slotted rotors and Axxis Metal Master pads, couldn't be happier. Going on one year now, no signs of significant wear and still low brake dust. Definitely recommend the rotors, but would suggest the Metal Masters for a good street performance pad.

I have Hawk HPS pads up front & they are too noisy for me. I'm switching to Raybestos Quiet Stops which I have in the rear, which are super quiet & almost no brake dust.

I have RTP rotors and Axxis pads all around. Not noisy at all but the brake dust is a love/hate relationship.

Stopping power is good, better when pad is at "operating temperature." I've found them to be mushy when cold.

Does RTP have vented rear rotors for our car? (and would this be a good thing to get over the stock solid rotors)

I don't think there's vented rotors for the rears. Can't use them (unless with some modification?).

OT: Check the regional forum. NC meet info.

Even though I've got a SpecV, I've used the RTP front rotors for my Brembo brakes (just blanks and zinc coated) and Axxis (they call them PBR) Metal Master pads.

Barely any dust, low noise and great quality. And I brake and drive hard all the time.
