Bose Headunit and Temperature Display Goes off when head lights are on??

I have a 2001 Maxima GLE With close to 100K Miles, Whenever the Headlights are ON -- The Display on the Odometer / Dashboard, Bose Head Unit Display and the Temperature Display are off..
Bottomline, No Ambient Light in my car after it turns dark...

Any clues as whats gone and how expensive is it to fix this?

LOL I thought I had the same problem one night, I was coming out of my friends house, got in my car, turned it on, and boom, no interior lights. Everything worked, stereo, climate controll, but no dash lights. I reached down to adjust what I thought was the little dimmer switch, but I seemed to have found the mirror adjuster. I thought I blew a fuze or something, so I drove home on the highway using a lighter to see how fast I was going lol. Then the next day I realized what a stupid ******* I was lol

You may need :

1- A new dimmer switch
2- A new fuse somewhere, check them

All those things you described are on the same circut, I would check the fuses, then get a new switch.

Do you think it is a fuse in the head unit or a fuse on the main panel? It sounds strange that there would be a fuse for just the display light...
