Sunlit sand car, opinions w/ painted wheels?

Well, i got tired of my boring bare metal rotas, so i decided to polish up the lip on them and paint the wheels.

Here is some progress:

Only polished lip

Polished and painted gunmetal

Im not really caring for the look of the gunmetal, i thought about a bronze, but i dont think bronze w/ a polished lip would look that great. And it seems everyone and their mom has black gloss wheels w/ a polished lip. Anyone got any other ideas for what color to paint the wheels? Also i have been using the duplicolor wheel paint, but only because i got it for free. Should i use an acrylic or enamel? Thanks.

if you could color-match the spokes to your car, that would be pretty slick.

I would have to agree with the drop. After you get that it will definitely set the wheels off and you'll have a better ability to determine which color would look better. Just choosing I would say body color and lose the dull mud flap.

I need to replace my tie rod ends, bushings, strut bearings, rotors, pads, and return my POS cv axles from oreillys. I plan on doing all that at one time.

Got the driver's side of the car done, I think I'm going to stick with the gun metal, i like it allot.

I agree. A full polish (clay bar, wax and all). And a light (20-35%) tint job to set off the gunmetal wheels

That would be such a pita to keep clean, i painted the wheels mostly because i got tired of how dirty the wheels would get and how hard they were to clean and keep clean. Ill try it out on one of the wheels and see how i like it.

It almost looks if the back bumper is a little off too... Maybe it's faded?
