CD stuck in 2002 non-Bose...

Guys,

My little brother drives a 2002 Maxima and he got a CD stuck in a the non-Bose headunit. I had the same problem with my Z and the dealer had to install a new head-unit. Is there any sort of reset button on these CD players? I appreciate your help.

You could try removing the fuses for the audio/speaker under the hood, but really the only good way to get that cd out would be to take the head unit out of the car and remove it manually.

no reset button. i had the same problem with my 03 max non bose.
i went to the dealer and they told me that i had to buy a new one.
and of course thaey will charge u an arm and a leg for it.
you are better off goin to best buy r i recommend circuit city.
a brand called phase lanaer is what i have in my car.
dvd/cd player, you can hook it up to a camera for reversing,mp3 player, can connect to an ipod, touch screen with remote and equalizer. its prettty good.
i got mine for about 340.
i thinks its way better than stock
good luck on that issue tho.
to get the cd's out after u replace it u gotta dismantel the whole thing.

I appreciate the help. I had a bad feeling that there are not too many other fixes out there for such a problem. My brother decided to go ahead and purchase a new aftermarket headunit.

I really wish that Nissan didn't use these ****y Clarion HU's. My 2003's CD player has the usual issues and my 93's display stopped working. Does anyone know if Nissan is still using them in their new cars?

I had one CD get stuck, although it came out far enough that I could snag it out by hand. That the CD itself was a home-burned disc of unknown history/formatting/whatever may have had something to do with it.

Every time I hear mention of satellite radio, I'm reminded of the lyrics in Tom Petty's "The Last DJ", where it goes something like

"how much they'll get you to pay/for what you used to get for free".
