How much can a 5spd, 5g, GXE tow? i have a '90 crx hf that weighs roughly 1800lbs (stripped), I would like to put it on a trailer and have it towed no more than 15miles ever. It's all level, no real long stretches of up or downgrades. Would my maxima be able to tow a trailer with a crx on it without destroying things (tranny, motor, rear axle, etc)...

I think the owners manual says that it is only safe to tow up to 500 lbs. I know that is low, but if you try to tow 1800 lbs you might risk the change of breaking something. U-Haul is very cheap now a days!

According to my bro...2k has it's torque in a diff rpm band than his 3rd gen ve...even though his 3rd gen has less hp, it's supposedly better for towing (?) Somebody find my bro and ask him.

1000 lbs

My owners manual says the towing limit is 1000lb. It doesn't differentiate between automatic and manual. Its probably limited by the brakes.

prolly no biggie

the weight of 5 grown men passengers, their luggage, & a full tank of gas, plus whatever the manual says you can tow is probably very safe to haul for short, flat distances. ease the clutch, low throttle, soft baking.... no problem
