How in depth is the process of getting the 4th gen konis to fit on the 5th gen? I know you tried it months ago successfully, but didn't remember the degree of difficulty or need for additional parts.

Well, now I don't know. I was all set to get the Konis, but after reading all that is involved in the conversion to fit the 5th gen...I am hesitant. It would be an expensive mistake if I screwed up. I may just wait on the KYBs. Are they due out in Sept? What is the major difference between those and the Konis? I am getting beat up in my car with the Eibach and stock shock setup that have currently.

Yeah, the modifications to the top hat aren't minor. Maybe you could use the 4th gen top-hat instead that may fit nicely? Anyhow, the KYB's are more adjustable and they can be adjusted while still on the car. You have to take the Konis off and stick them in a vice to adjust them. I think ohboiya said that the KYB's were scheduled to be available in september. If they come out around then, I may pick up a set along with some coilovers but I guess I'll have to see.....
