I just got back from Maxus about an hour ago. It was a lot of fun. There were probably about 80 cars there. I got to check out the 2k2 max and the Nissan Primera. There were ten or so 5th gens... I met up with Paul2kGXE, Pillager, Flomax, nc00max, Chillboy, GXE Spoiler (the guy with the tight rims ), and PIONEER... I also ran at the track a few times. The best I could do was 15.7 @ 88 mph It was my first time running at a track, so I guess I could do a little better with the launch and cutting down on wheel spin. Oh well though... I guess I made the SMC proud

I'm so upset I couldn't attend...I've been a hardcore poster every since I got a Maxima and allthough I couldn't help most of you out you guys did alot for me and I wanted to chill with some of my maxima folks...oh well maybe next year :'-(

Ugh... I'm exhausted after that drive. I hit so much traffic when I got into New York. I'm quite sunburned... that place could definately use more trees!

I don't think there were as many cars as LSP... I counted about 70-80 cars. No one would really sit still. They were either racing, somewhere in the parking lot, or in the Maxima parking.

It was fun watching all the Maximas go at it on the 1/4 mile. I didn't get a chance to race because I didn't get my number early enough. But eh... my car is more suited for autocross rather than 1/4 mile.

But while I was there, I got a chance to dyno my baby.

Also it was nice to meet some of you in person!

Sounds like you guys are having a blast. 15.7 isn't bad.

 

At one time I counted 80 cars and that didn't include the one's that were in the pit area. I don't think we had more than 90 though. It was a really good time. The Nissan reps were pretty cool. They had some interesting things to say about the 2003 Maxima.

 

yeah... it was fun... 15.7 isn't horrible.... but I was hoping for better.... i think I need more practice....

hehehe.... stripping the interior would probably help. I had a bunch of crap in the trunk also including the spare... oh well though....

 

I was going to take my RSB and other stuff off my car, but I decided not to. I wanted to compare OSCAI 2.0 vs. 1.0 under the same conditions. I'm going to Capital Raceway next Friday to get a better idea. I need to test at the same track.

 

Diet

 

I really need to go on a diet. I once got down to 180, from 260. That's probably worth a whole tenth!

Yeah, I live 3 miles from the hotel and 25 minutes from the track. It's raining and Maxus is over.

I would get bored with the SoCal weather. I could handle San Fran and north though. I like changes in the season, including rain and snow.
