there's no need to explain how i messed up the car, it was a stupid careless mishap that i think will cost a lot, but i'm not exactly sure. so, does anyone know what the front-right quarter panel, front-right door, and the beam thing under both doors(skirt?)... cost? and then the installation cost on something like that?

it depends how bad the damage is. if theres no dents ect, paint scratches, much less compared to a full collision and bent frames and torn engine parts and jacked up wheels and BLAH the list could go on. sorry about you "incident" and hope you get it fixed.

best of luck.

The front right quarter panel - the lower left section just around the wheel area, is totally dented in and pushed up and in
The front right door -- the bottom right hand corner is totally dented in, i'd say about 8 x 8 inches or more
The beam under the right doors - scratched to hell and dented up and in
The back right door - i noticed today has a serious looking scratch of about 4 inches long, an inch wide, and geeze, an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch deep.

The story - I don't even know really, I wasn't driving like an idiot, I was by myself, and I was simply making a right turn. As I made the turn, the car lifts and jerks up a little bit, get's stuck, and the wheel's start spinning and I let off the gas and stop and get out of the car. It turn's out I hit this concrete structure (looked like a drain into a river nearby.. but it was about 2 feet high) that was hidden in the weeds of the corner of the road. So, I was completely careless, took the turn too tight, and hooked on to that concrete thing, i just got the corner of the thing, but that enough seemed to do a good amount of damage.

The damage doesn't look so bad, but it looks like the part's need to be replaced, not fixed. I think the scratch on the back door can get fixed.. the other door, quarter panel, and beam look like they need to be replaced.

I live in north-west NJ, right by the Delaware Water Gap, anyone know of a particular dealer I should go to for it to be fixed? We bought the car in Long Island, not going to drive back there.

That depends. But if you have "Collision", it covers your car if you get in an accident, whether it be with another car, rhino, or other LIO (Large Immovable Object).

Call your agent.

Yeah I did call the insurance agent.. and I do in fact have collision, so I only have to pay the first $550 and they cover the rest. But of course my rates will go up too... oh well, I just hope this doesn't happen again and I learn to pay attention better.

thanks for the help/info

Just pay someone to have an accident with another car and make it look like the other guys fault, works like a charm...

j/k sorry about the mishap...
