Ok, nothing to be real proud of, but 190.1 whp and 191.2 ft/lb torque. That's with the new tranny and letting the car sit for an hour. The other 2 runs were 189.3/190.1 and 189.9/190.3, so it was pretty consistent. I'm looking at switching from the OSCAI to the JWT (actually it's already on it's way from Courtesty) so hopefully I'll grab a little more with that. Not that I can't live with 250+ at the crank...

WOW... those are some awesome numbers

Can you post the dyno plot?

I think I am going to get mine dyno'd soon also after I install the UDP and RT Cat next week. I would definitely be happy with numbers like that.... BTW, what gear did you dyno in?

Hehe, sorry, I don't have a scanner so it'll be awhile. But anyways, he ran it in 3rd all the way up to 6600 (I think he may have even hit the rev limiter) and it was fairly cool inside the shop. I was pretty ecstatic, and asked him if it was SAE corrected just to be sure, and he said yes. But hell yeah, I'm pretty happy about it. And I don't think it was a fluke cause the other 2 were pretty close to the highest one. I thought about doing it again, but it was $75 for 3 runs, and I didn't feel like spending any extra money to try and dissappoint myself. I wish I'd dynoed mine stock so I could get an idea of the gains my car specifically got, but I'll just have to go off other's numbers. Let me know what you dyno with the RT Cat on there, cause it's time for some more mods.

There is a speed shop near my work that has a dyno.... they said they could hook up my UDP and RT Cat also... I am going to try and do it myself though. I'll let you know the results when I get them. Your max is fed spec right?

Thanks! I'm still stoked Still wondering about it being a fluke, but I looked around and saw that some autos have dynoed at around 170whp, so if you give the y-pipe/OSCAI combo 15hp, and the UDP 5, that would be about right. I can really feel a difference with the new tranny, during the gears, and while shifting. It shifts REALLY quick and smooth, almost like how everyone describes the VB mod. I know the shifting doesn't have anything to do with the hp, but I'm feeling pretty damned good about everything on the car now. Now to see how Emax's headers dyno....

Nice numbers but it's odd that you get about 20hp more than the other autos.

Anyone consider it's becuase he dyno'd in 3RD GEAR? Is that cose to 1:1 in the autos?

what's the name of the shop? I'm sorta passively looking for a good local import shop. Do they work on Honduh's too?

Altered Atmosphere... they are right off of 117... They mainly focus on the Mitsubishi 3000GT and Stealth as their main cars... but they will hook up pretty much anything as far as I know. Check it out:

Jeff: aren't you supposed to dyno autos in third gear? I thought second gear gave strange results....

Kev: he said it was SAE corrected in the third post...

That's awesome for an automatic. Fed spec really helps.

Now all I gotta do is get it to the track and see if the numbers really work.

Jeff92se-I have a few mods, which is why I'm 20 or so above average. (OSCAI, y-pipe, UDP)

Paul-I have the JWT on order, and I know you've been somewhat of an advocate of it. Do you think it'll add hp over the OSCAI, and how much low end am I gonna lose? I don't do a lot of flying off the line, so as long as the high end is there, I think I'll be happy.

The JWT, or any cone style filter, should provide better performance than OSCAI. It's less restrictive. I think it takes away some of the low end grunt, but the torque is plentiful with the VQ. When I put my stock box back on, I noticed a boost in the low end immediately. My track performances and dyno charts show it to be superior to stock and OSCAI. I wasn't to thrilled about the hissing noise at idle, so I took it off. My dealer wasn't thrilled about my JWT, but now I don't care. I'm thinking of going to a CAI now.

His numbers are believable. He has a Fed spec car and Y pipe. There's something to that Fed Spec. Also, 3rd gear is 1:1 in the automagic. It's the gear of choice for dynos. On the 5 speed, 4th gear is a slight overdrive at 0.95:1. 3rd gear on the 5 speed is 1.27:1.

New tranny?

Hey, did you have an auto tranny rebuilt or swapped? Wait, did you have an auto tranny in the first place? I'm new to this place, so I don't know who has what yet.

If you did swap an auto for a manual, how much did it cost and how long did it take? I can't stand that the Stillen supercharger won't install on an auto transmission.

Thanks.
