I have a 1981 model and would like to add the 20th Anniv. badge the the fender or trunk lid. Anyone have a pic of it and where is it located?

hmm.. he has an 81... it's currently 2001... wow, 20 year old max still on the road. im generally against mixed badging, but damn, if that max still runs nicely, it sure deserves a badge for it's 20th aniversary!

I try to be different.

I should have better pictures as soon as I can get my hands on a digital camera.

Reflection

Nice angle. It would be better to have another AE in the reflection though, instead of a Lincoln.

That is the main reason I need to take new pictures.

I can't have any non Nissan cars in the reflection of my car, that is very, very wrong. I like this one but it might
be hard to do...see the car refelction in the headlight, that would be sweet.

Quite an accomplished auto, wouldn't you say?

How many miles are on that puppy? 20 years...wow. I have a 1973 Harley Sporster I am currently restoring(it was my uncles original bike) You should see all the praise I get from bikers...
Anyway...the man definately deserves the 20th anniversary badge...in fact...give me your address..I would be more than happy to buy it for you and send it to you (especially if it's only a couple bucks)

What other 20th AE edition stuff does courtesy sell?
Things on my list are:
in cabin micro filter
20th badge
shifter
and kick plates.

Jeff...your taillights look like they don't have the carbon fiber look like the 2k's. Is it just glossy black on the tails now or is it just he camera angle?

The 1981 Maxima has climbed to 76K miles. I have had it 1.5 years. My Grandpa bought it in December,1980. He had also just bought an Audi a few months earlier. The Audi was always in the shop, but the Max never failed. Grandma never drove, so Grandpa had 2 cars to himself. He drove one for 2 weeks, then washed it up, then drove the other car for 2 weeks. The 1980 Audi lasted 7 years, then he replaced it with a 1987 Stanza, which he still drives. He sold me the Max in 1999 with 56K miles. Over the last 15 years, he averaged 3K miles a year in it, and never drive in snow. He said it was the best car he ever owned. It has treated me very well and I hope to keep it pristine for many years to come. I have been watching for other 1981-82 Maximas over the last 2 years, and have only seen about 3 others ever, and they were about rusted away.

wow, that is sharp

That 81 Maxima looks perfect. The style reminds me of my family's 84.

I always loved how they cocked the automatic antenna at an angle to make it look sporty.

Isn't it just another five years before it becomes a classic car?
