Wouldn't it be beneficial to remove the LONG intake tube that runs across the enine bay and make it a CAI through the passenger side fender?

Not only would you be getting less hot air from under the hood, but you'd have LESS tubing for the air to heat up in traveling to the SC. Just wondering, since I've seen 4th gens. with a heat-blanket wrapped intake tube.

Nope, can't do what you recommended. I had that idea, but later found out Stillen acutally attached the MAF to the end of the intake piping (right after the filter). Making a CAI is not ideal..... possible, but I wouldn't do it.

I'm saving up for an intercooler setup... then I'll have the MAF placed right before the throttle body (just like the 4th gens).

It's right between pic 2 and 3. There's a pic of the lower right corner of the trunklid with 'SC' on it, can't miss it.
