Anyone who has the Stillen or Greddy cat-backs...How loud are these systems? I want a few more ponies and a nice full tone, but I don't want a loud system like some of the Civics and Acura's running around. Anyone have a sound bite of their systems?

No Stillen cat-back, but there is the muffler. I don't believe GReddy has come out with a 2K cat-back either. The muffler is pretty quiet compared to the GReddy (4th gen).

Catbacks will never be as loud as a civic's.

The noise you hear in the honda's are due to their 4 cyl's
stillen's stainless steel muffler and B pipe would make the best catback without the noise.. all you hear is a low purr.
Greddy's don't have 2k yet... but they have a very good looking tip =)

Catback Sound Clips

Does anybody have any sound clips of the 2K or earlier Maxima's with a Greddy or Stillen catback or any other mellower muffler. I am also interested in a deeper or mellower sounding car. I came from a 99 WS6 T/A and had Flowmaster on it and it was nice and deep sounding. I know the Maxima want sound anywhere like the T/A but I would like at least a little rumble but not the fart can sound you hear on lots of small cars.

Stillen catback is pretty loud, sounds good w/o y-pipe.

GReddy isn't as loud, sounds ok... but drones a bit.

Either of the two with a y-pipe is just too loud....
