If I do not want to try it myself, what is the best way to have my auto trans upgraded for faster shifts? Is there a kit I can buy, then get a trans shop to install it?

Send it out to level 10 or mobile tek. Or get an ecu upgrade from jet.

You can purchase a kit, but the results, from what I have heard, may not be as good as a Don VB upgrade or a Level 10. A local shop might install a kit, but the "chain" type tranmission shops probably won't touch it.

I contacted one shop and the general answer was that they would do it, but it would end up costing me as much to send it to MobilTek (aka Don).

Don's VB recalibration is like $450.... I think Level10 charges like $750 for theirs.....

Level 10's will be back when they tell you it will. Mobileteks will be back when he gets to it.
