Ok we have a 17"x7" rim and the tire size is 225 50 17. Will a rim 17x8 with an offset of +38mm fit my factory rubber? My wheel well without rubbing anything? Please help thanks.

225 will go on to a 8" wide wheel but don't do it. Get a nice 235/45 it woun't rub.

A 225/50 is not mad for an aftermarket wheel go for the nitto's 235/45.
