Warm Engine Startup Problem...
i was wondering if anybody else is having this problem....i think it was posted a while back but im not sure...
when the engine is cold, say in the morning when im leaving for school, startup is perfect, turn the key to ignition fully and hold for about a second..
however, when the engine is hot/warm, i turn the key to ignition and i only have to hold it for 1/2 second and the engine starts, but not how it should...it sort of 'klunks' i guess u could say...i dont know how to xplain it, but its juss not rite....the problem is even worse if the car is parked in the sun.......ideas/suggestions b4 i take to dealer...and i been having this problem for a while, but its finally bugging me enough to wanna take it down there

Metal Expands
All sorts of things happen in warm temperatures. all the metal in your car expands when warm. This means the pistons have a tighter fit in the cylinders when the car is hot, and there is more force of friction to overcome when starting. When the car is cold, the metal is contracted, and it is easier to overcome the friction. Don't worry about it, I don't think you have to get it checked out. Maybe it's time for an oil change?
If someone thinks I'm wrong, please let me know. I'm not an expert but I think I'm right here.

You might try synthetics if you aren't using them now.
I use Mobil 1, and never a start up problem.
I suspect a trip to the dealer may be in order. A new car shouldn't do this. Vapor locks, fuel starvation, ignition,
could be a lot of things.
