Hey ... does anyone know the Specs (wattage, volts, etc)

of the Little Tiny Wedge Bulbs that are used to light up the Dash????

I took my dash apart and I'm wondering about these Little Guys!!!!

If your referring to the speedometer/tach guage "pod", the ones with the BROWN sockets are 1.4-watts and the BLACK sockets are 3-watts.

How do U know this anywayz??

Have ya attempted to change the color of them???


There's also a BLUE socket one, its the one for the LCD screen ... what wattage is that one??

It's Alex.

You ALMOST had me. Canadian Maxs are different. We don't have blue connectors according to my source, but our ODOMETER/TRIP meter illumination is 3-Watts and the METER ILLUMINATION(X4 bulbs) is also 3-Watts. All my info is based on a late U.S. 2000 model, so somethings maybe incorrect.

So ICE ... have ya ever taken your Dash apart???

Or mess around with those little lights??

I want to alter the color of my dash!
