Maxima producton coming to US
Our neighbors both work at the Nissan plant in Smyrna, Tenn, where you all should know by now that the Xterra, Frontier, and Altima are built. She told me that they are to have Maxima production in December 2003. Z car will be built in Japan. I asked if there would be some Max's built in Japan or would the entire production be in Smyran, and she said the expect to build all Maxima's in Smyrna. That, in addition to the current models that roll off the assembly line.
They do good work here so I don't have any concerns about a Tennessee built Maxima. Now a south-of-the-border Maxima would have been a different story...
