Hose Techniques: Comparison shopping
#1
I recently placed an order for a universal kit from Hose Techniques. The cost is $58 on their website(http://www.hosetechniques.com). Come to find out, they are out of stock for color I wanted and don't know when they'll have it available. The kit comes with the following:
10' of 3.5 mm, 15' of 4.00 mm, 6' of 6.00 mm, and 4' of 8.0 mm.
I started shopping around and remembered NOPI has it on their shelves (in rolls sold by the foot) and on their website. Their website lists the prices for the same diameter hoses by the foot.
I totalled up the NOPI price by the foot and it was $39.86. That is almost a $20 difference, plus if you live in the Atlanta area you can save on the shipping, too.
I suppose the difference is that you are paying extra for the sticker, the hose cutter, and the tie wraps (we don't have many in our engine bay) when ordering from Hose Techniques directly.
Just thought I would share for those looking for a little better deal...
