He has a Bonneville SSEi. Its like a 95 or 96 and has XXXHP. I blocked out this information because he always talks about his car. All I know is that it is supercharged. Well, it was 10p.m. and we decided to head out to out friends house who was having a bond fire. Once on the country road, I head out normally not even wanting or thinking about racing. I start to accelerate from town speed up to country speed when he decides to floor it and pull up beside me and pass me. I finally decided to go when he was about a car length in front so I just punch it. The car downshifts to 2nd gear and I then move the gear selector into the "2" position and watch as the tach hits 6,300rpms and move it into the "D" position while the tranny shifts at a perfect 6,500rpms. By 95mph I am right behind him. I start to walk on him by the time I am at 120mph and continure going until I reach 125mph and slow down to take a left turn. I take the turn alittle to hard, 40mph and the tail swings out slightly but I regain control. I've been in oversteer situations before and this was the easiest to control. Well after the turn I accelerate normally thinking he wouldn't want to race anymore. I look in my rear view mirror and see him couple 100 feet behind and then his headlight raises. I knew he just had punched it but I didn't punch it until he passed me. Once I punched it, we were about a couple hundred feet away from my friends driveway but he decides to keep going and I follow. I finally catch up by the time I reached 100mph and pass him going 120mph. This time I continued to about 133mph and shut down. I come to a complete stop, BOY OH BOY DO THE STOCK BRAKES SUCK. THEY FADE AND HAVE POOR PEDAL FEEL and I didn't even have the pedal all the way down. I wait for him to come up next to me. We were both laughing and I said, "You made me pass the exit." We turn back around. Once we get into the driveway, our friends were outside and they saw us racing. I asked him how fast he was going when he passed me on our second race and he said, "About 65mph" Heh I was only going 50mph when he passed me. They asked us how the race was. He says,"I burned him on acceleration, but he always got me once we passed 100mph." My reply was,"yeah you burned me because you where the one who punched it first and I didn't punch it until you passed me," and we just laughed. He says,"Lets do this again next time."

Damn that took a long time to read. Put in some spaces to make it more readable! :-D Good kill though.

durn brakes

Hey nice kill.

I empathize with you and the crummy brakes. Coming down from high speed, especially if they're already warm, it feel like I'm shoving my right foot into pudding. If you live in a snowy area (like me, in MN), you'd liken it to trying to stop/steer through 6 inches of snow.

Good kill! Damn those roads must have been straight for you to be going over 100mph on them!
