Read somewhere that 50 is the safest shot to use with the max motor without causing severe internal damage. I would say go with the 55 and see what gains you get. Hopefully someone on the board who's runnig gas can be of more helpful.

I believe you will probably need the VB recalib. and possibly a transmission cooler. Did you already get the TSB service on the shifter solenoid?

Since the more NOS, the hotter the burn, you may not want the biggest shot out there. All engines WILL wear, but I believe NOS will give you a much faster wear. Don't mention the NOS kit when you go to sell the car :-D Just leave them wondering what that big red switch is

When you get the kit hooked up let me know how it goes because I am looking into getting that kit myself.

Ask and you shall recieve.....

I am going to tell you that if you haven't tried to install yet, you are going to find out soon that the TPS (throttle position sensor) has to be adjusted. This is something that is slightly difficult. You have to do this because the Maxima at full open throttle only will give you 3.99 Volts and the ZEX kit needs 4 Volts.

Also to your question you can run the 55 shot on your max easily without any mods to the tranny. I did this for 3-4 months, and I never had a problem. I eventually got Don's VB mod and added a tranny cooler. With no tranny work and using the ZEX my 1/4 mile time dropped over a full second. You could also run the 65 maybe a few times but I would get the tranny done if you wanted to keep this shot, also to use the 75 you are going to have to upgrade not only tranny but also the fuel system.

If you have any more questions ask and I will try to help.
GOOD LUCK!!!
