I don't know, good ?

You might want to bring this up on the Northwest Board.

I'm in the same boat, I just moved out here from the east coast, and I see cops all over the place, and from what I hear they aren't very lenient.

Are you in the city or on the eastside? I may have seen your car at somepoint. I've seen 2 separate Grey Lustre SE's in the Redmond area.

I've been here a while - 15 years. First get a good radar detector. I live up north in the Everett area and from here towards Canada on I-5 is pretty open. Plus the speed limit is 80 mph I believe. Also, I-90 going towards Spokane is flat and straight, but there is the occasional State Patrol, so your detector will come in handy.

Other than the above, just be aware of your surroundings and be fast on the brake if necessary. Also, be sure to loose any CA plates. It is much easier talking your way out of a ticket with WA plates on your car. The people up here hate Californians, but that is another story.

I've lived in this area all my life. Some areas to avoid.

I-90 east/west between the I405 interchange to Issaquah. Cop city.

I-5 south/north just south of the Southcenter shopping mall

167 south/north right near the horse track(ie.. 167 to highway 18 east/west interchange.

There are more but these are some of the bad ones.

Jeff is right!
I-90 is awful east of 405, but not just to Issaquah, all the way to North Bend (where I live)...

MadMax - I have an 2001 SE, but its in the stop this week getting a dent fixed up... I'm hoping they do a good job. I nice plus of it all is they have to do some painting, so some paint chips will get covered as well

I hope I have the same luck if I were to get pulled over, I've still got PA plates on...

Madmax2000, damn, that really sux dude. I know over here in cali, I'm doing 80 all the time. I hope that works out for ya. Maybe find a race track around to let out some of that "inner urge" But remember one thing...if you get pulled over, make sure the cop DOESN'T SEE IT.
