How much should I pay to get my shocks installed? One place told me $90.00. Is that a fair price?

that's a good price.

But, you should do it yourself. It's not hard. Search the forums for details...

Is it "hard" if you don't have any tools or jacks or jack stands at home?

I think it would be more expensive to go out and buy all these different tools to install stuff than to just have some guy install it in the better part of 2 hours.

Well, if you dont have any tools and dont do your own car work anyway...then dont bother. The only uncommon tools that are needed are a torque wrench and an set sof spring compressors. Both of these can be borrowed from Autozone for free.

Installing springs is not something that I would recommend most people attempting in their home garage. You will need a spring compressor and an assortment of socket attachments. If you have air tools, a lift, spring compressor, and the know how, it is not too bad. Took me under 3 hours with little direction.

$90 is an excellent deal for the install. I was quoted $150 and was told that even that was a good deal.

Good luck. out.

Headache is not the word to use for when the poorly used spring compressor unloads in your forehead ... .

BTW My impression was that it's easier to swap shocks than springs... That might explain higher quote FloMax got. I'm not sure how it is for Max though.
