..... but I think some of the engine internals may need to be strengthened a bit at that point.... but I could be wrong

I think Kev has been eating too much Chinese food with MSG, it's affecting his brain.

You definitely need to strengthen the internals with a 2.75 pulley. Also, 2.75 does not give you 17 PSI... 2.67" (smallest Vortech offers) gives around 14.
