Okay, i know it's not a 6spd. but with a family (note: baby) coming in the near future i decided on practicallity over anything else.

Anyway, it's a base SE (no leather, no sroof). This baby just begs to be pushed to the limits, i've never even drove an auto that's as smooth as this. Countless times i've even chirped my front wheels just hovering over 3k rpm from stop.

I don't have pictures yet but it's a sterling blue one. Will try to post pics soon. Oh, got it at $200 over MSRP too!

Congrats! Just think, all that money you saved by getting the lower end SE can be put into mods!

Congrats on both the baby and the new Maxima. I went for a Maxima instead of a minivan. Never regretted it.

Congrats man! They have a '02 in that majestic blue (I think that's what it's called) at my local dealer, and it looks real nice. Still not liking the tail lights though, but I guess if you have one it grows on you.

I hope you mean $200 over Invoice, otherwise you paid a dealer markup of $200 over sticker.

Congrats on the new Max and the upcoming baby!
Very nice choice! Hope you enjoy the ride!
My Nissan dealer called me the other day to tell me he had a Majestic Blue 2002 SE on the lot and wanted to know if I wanted to trade in my Max ( I know him personally )... what a bastard!!!

Whooops! Yeah, i got it $200 over invoice, *not* MSRP.

Thanks for all the comments. The only other Nissan i've driven before was a Sentra (box-type/early 90's) and i didn't really see what the fuss was about back then.

After just test driving a couple of cars at our dealer i can very well see now just what you guys/gals are all admiring.

Here's one proud Nissan owner

The 2002s are already going for cheap? WOW! $200 over invoice is sweet. Let's see, I trade the 96 for about...$2500 and buy the 2002 for invoice. Where's a good salesman when you need em?
