I have been looking at rims...and I love the VOLK's Racing SE-37A rims. They are really pricey though. KONIG makes one that looks just like it and it is called the "Imagine".

Is there any reason to pay the extra money for VOLK's? Are they lighter...a better product...what?

The volk's are light and strong. They take it all. Also there the orginal wheel the konigs are copy's don't buy the copy by the orginal.

Kinda confusing there...by vs. buy.

Anyways, you get what you paid for. You definitely get a better wheel with the Volks. You just have to weigh your pros/cons with your wallet.

Are you still borrowing those tantrums from Jane? How do you like them? I would love to get the VOLKS...there are just too much money.

So KEV....if you were going to get new rims (not borrowed) what would you get?

Me Kev, she Jane. Me likes Volks SE-37A and SE-37K.

Got that from his earlier reply.

Yup, still "borrowing" the Tantrums because the stock 17s won't clear the 300ZX calipers. I think they're alright for the price... not too heavy but not light enough.

What would I get? Read what Terrence wrote.

That sounds pretty bad!!

I no longer sell Konig due to a major accident where a 17x7 Konig Caffeine shattered, yes shattered, and caused tremendous damage to the car, and the accident was a minor accident, that he avoided a stopped car, and had to go over a 3" center median since he didn't want to hit the car.
As it shattered the brake dragged on the floor as well as the tranny pan.

It is true you get what you pay for. I didn't by the cheapest rims that is for sure....but I could not justify 600 buck a wheel for the VOLKS...maybe on a better car.

I will have to look out for those curbs!! I certainly don't want any shattering happening to my rims!

going w/ the konig theme...

this might be a hella stupid question cuz its so general, but i saw these 5 spoke silver konigs [im pretty sure they were konigs] looked about 18" on an accord and they looked phat ***....the spokes looked like they were getting thinner the closer they got to the center meeting place....anybody have any idea what they r called and if u do how much $ and if they do fit on our maxes where i can get em?
thanks

I like 'em, but with tires mine come out to 54lbs/tire&wheel. Which equals Don't Race.

konig and volk are diff class
its like comparing
civic and E320

konig hast he style but quality isnt as good as volk and very heavy, I believe maximadriver or some other webpage hasthe weigh of all the popular rims, u might wanna check it out.

volk is the way to do if u got money.

I can only speak for myself but I got into an accident in August (don't ask), slammed into passing car, ran up a curb and landed in an embankment with them 17x8 TSW VX1s, NOT ONE was bent! They're not for racing, but daymn- they're built tough!

Konigs are knockoffs (sorry Jane) and I've heard bad stories with 'em (like Hogan)

hey is the Muscle mirror Polish, kinda like chrome, because i saw some at nopi and they were really shiney almost like chrome, with red lettering.

When you say few hundred for the bronze, are you talking about the whole U.S., isnt that # kinda low, i mean just at nopi i saw at least 15 cars with those rims, 2 with silver, 5 with white, and 1 with gunmetal.
