To take the stock nozzles off, just use a needle-nose plier. First reach you hand and feel around the nozzle. You'll feel two tabs. You have to squeeze those two tabs and push up a little and the nozzles will pop right out.

I have lots of neons in my car... and once, when my starter was dying, the valet thought the switch for my neons was the killswitch, so he flipped my neons on. They were the ones in the back so I didn't really notice until the next day. They had been on the previous day all day! And they still work fine.

I also have a neon mounted in my center console. That one's been there the longest. Whenever I went home from school and felt like a race, I would turn it on and it was my "race bait". If I didn't find anyone to race, it would still take me about 20 minutes to get home and I had class three days out of the week. Neon still works fine.

You shouldn't have any problems with your neons if you only turn them on for 15 minutes at a time. And they should last a while.

What brand do u have?

I use to run my neons on for hours, the whole entire night basically. But after i went through 3 neons, i got smart and decided that running them for long periods of time is bad. So now i play it safe with 15 min.

I forget the name of the neon I have on my center console. I bought it from Crutchfield. It's those crystal/diamond/whatever neons.

Then I have two Streetglow blacklights in my front footwells. And two ghetto no-name brand purple neons from Ebay in the back that is connected to a box that will make them flash to the bass.

And I don't turn them on when I'm in the car alone, except for the one on the center console. No point really, I've seen my neons already. But the one in the center, I've had since last year around October or so and it's been fine so far.

Doh... I really forget... I was doing my car and Toylet's car and Toylet's friend's car... all the different wires confused the hell out of me.

But for mine (I have a fourth gen), I did it like this:
Connected the two ground wires together and ran them inside the car to a switch. Then I ran a wire from the switch to the neg of the cig lighter. The power from the right, I tapped into the power wire in the right turn signal and the left to the left power turn signal.

So my LEDs only blink when I use my blinkers and I can turn them on and off whenever I wanted to.

When Toylet gets back on, I'm sure he can tell you how we wired his. His are wired to the clearance lamps so they are on all the time when he has his lights on.

haha i just got back from stony brook. i was bored around 1 and my friend called me so we went to stony and used his food card thing, ate, and just got back.

but anyhow, i just hooked up the black to black red to red to my corner lights.. thats basically it. i will let you know about the switch, when clee has time im going to go over his place and we're gonna do a lil drilling and re-wirring

also the name of my neon is tropical illusions. i leave them on all the time at night, cause other people like seeing them.. duh haha, only turn them off when theres a cop around.

I have a 4th gen so I had a little hole already drill in where the clutch was supposed to go.

But on the fifth gen, I suppose all you have to do is also just drill a hole and slide that sucker in.
