To those that have the Levoc shifter or konwledge about it, how come they sit so high on the stalk? When the sohw pictures of the shifter itself, it's only about 4-5 inches long, but from Kev's pictures and ItalianMax's pics, they sit on this stalk. I was reading the installation procedure on another website, and you need to use this stalk. Basically, I was wondering whether it was neccessary for this stalk to sit so high, or if if was neccessary to use at all. I'm asssuming that the Levoc stalk slips over the exsisting stalk, and needs to compensate for the height already there since I know you need to screw the Levoc **** in. The stock shifter isn't so high, and I like this (stock) height. I wanted to get a Levoc ****, but don't wanna dump 90 dollars on something that I won't be really happy with or have to experiment on only to find out that I messed it up.

I believe there's something different between the 4th gen and 5th gen shiftes. The Levoc shifter on 4th gens sit much lower. Maybe that's why the 2k-2k1 shifter needs to be modified to fit the AE shifter.
