for those of you like me who really want to add the HID's
but don't want to go thru the wiring headache (as i'm
electrically stupid) -------yes thanks ALL- ICEy2k and
bigdogjonx and DaveB-------- for getting this figured out.
i've emailed a place in fort worth tx called performance/
painless wiring to see if they'd be interested in coming
up with a harness that would be easy and maybe solve all the problems as i've read them with either install above.
told them to check out the board to guage interest.
would anyone else be interested besides me? just wondering out loud.
will let everyone know what i find out.

no flaming my wiring ignorace please.......

That would be really cool if they could design us a wire harness. But would we have to wait months until we're able to purchase it? Also my local dealer suggested that I could just get the complete stock wiring harness for the 2k2 at $1300 for a wiring solution.

i felt the same way. very squeamish about snipping wires and stuff. but i did it anyway and i haven't regretted it.
but a consolidated harness would be nice. they'll probably want us to agree on a wiring scheme (ice's or bigdog's) before doing anything.

Remember Folks

Even after the harness becomes available, you still need the HID LIGHT!! Ive got some, for $700 (they went up a bit) for the pair!! Still $600 less than the best price out there.

Email me if your interested.

Dr.Omed.

Attn Dromed:
Are you saying that the headlight assembly does not come with bulbs?

That would be great, but the problem is now that the assemblies are like over $600 and with the harness it might be over $700. That might turn off too many people. Cheaper to install a Vision HID kit for around $350.

Unless the extra $350 is worth it, but again this is all dependant on how long that price lasts. I mean the first price of $180 a side is great, but Dr0Med is saying $700 for the pair, he say he got SOME left, what about after that? Does it go to the full price of $1200 a pair?

Let me Clarify

When I said HID Light, I meant the Assembly (which includes the housing and light bulbs and it comes with 2 mounting bolts). This is $700. Then, there is the question of the wiring harnesses, three for each side. One for the HID, One for the Turning Signal, and one for the HighBeam.

The High beam is a generic 9005 light socket, costs about 2.49 each you can get at auto zone, etc.

The other two harnesses (two for each side but four total) runs about $70. These I/you order through Nissan. Then you need a few butt splices for all the wiring, and your done.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. And as long as your out of state, no tax.

I'm not afraid to wire myself, but a harness would be a cleaner install. I would be interested if it would be soon-to-deliver. If the order successfully went through at $201 per side (they've billed my card and everything), I should have them tomorrow.
