In Turbo magazine...
they had a 2k Maxima with:
19x8.5" in the front
19x9.5" in the rear
275/35/19's all around.
Admittedly, even w/ rolling the fender...they still rubbed slightly when you hit bumps.
I spoke to someone @ Racing Hart (the wheel mfg that gave Turbo magazine the wheels)...and they reccomended going w/ a 19x8.5 all the way around...and using a 265/35 or less wide tire to avoid rubbing.
I plan on using 18x8.5 rims w/ 255/35/18's myself though.
Hope this helps.

Hello people. What's Up. I don't know if anyone has posted a (question) <THAT'S A BETTER WORD FOR IT> like this before, but does any one happen to know what is the widest rim and tire combination that you can put on the y2k maximas?

you can put as wide tire as you like...
but if you go more than 255 you will start to rub...besides you are going to have to replace these very Expensive tires every 15,000 miles... Just go with 235/40-18 they work great.. and are not too expensive.

Your ride will start to rattle your teeth too. [/I][/QUOTE]
LOL... and don't forget about the sorry stock shocks that we have... you will need good ones when you upgrade to a 18" or bigger.... Leave the super wide tires for Vipers... Stick with 235's

there is no way you will be able to fit 21's on a max.. no way... no way... I'll bet the dog and the cat on it... the biggest I have seen on a max is 20's ... that is it...
