I'm coming home the other night and some jerk in a 4.0 Cherokee(sp)cuts me off as we both merge on the freeway. I florred it to get into the fast lane before he could so he got stuck behind another car which made his whole cutoff tactic useless for getting anywhere fast. As I was getting into the fast lane coming up behind him and changing lanes he tried his best to get in front of me again but by the time he had a chance to get over I was already in the fast lane passing him, funny the 4.0 is fast from a stoplight but dogs on the highway. Anyway I was so ****ed i never let off the gas (it was late no traffic) and I was cruising down the freeway when it felt like I almost hit my head on the steering wheel, I was like "WTF" looked down at the speedo and see 132mph! I hit the limiter, DAMN! I wish I had the SE....oh well HR rated tires should not go any faster anyway.

Let me guess. C-470. Not many stretches on I-25 make for good speeding.

 

No actually it was on I-25 North of 120th. Ya I know that 470 opens up real nice but my girl just got a 92 in a 70 in the Max so I'll be careful, it was on E-470. The radar detector went off but it did cause he was radaring her and she was the only one on the road at the time, you know how E-470 is.

Yeah, going to Ft. Collins tomorrow, trying not to get a ticket. I live off of E470, tough not to speed out there. Cops out there aren't the friendliest.

 

I once got a mustang hitting the 148 marker. Kinda crazy at those speeds. Did it feel like you move the wheel about .0003 of an inch and your three lanes over? It did for me.

Going to Fort Collins?? I rarely see a cop going north of 120th, run that strip at 90+ everyday.

The car felt just fine at 130mph, I speed 100+ alot so am used to how the car handles. I am not sure about Mustangs, I did get a "98 Cobra up over 100mph and it felt fine. But damn that car was sideways till 70mph! I have to say the Max never is as fun as that Cobra!

That reminds me of something, I was racing a Ferarri (smaller one) in Vegas in my modded RX7 once and I pulled him at 100+ and as I did I came up to a group of cars. OH $H!T! I said, no room to go I had to slide in between two cars almost side by side at 120mph, stupid i got in between them and as I pulled back after changing lanes fast to get between them I over compensated and I slide sideways then the other way then back again till I straightened it out, I have never had an adrenilane rush like that ever before!!!! I was shacking for an hour.....but loved it so much cause I pulled off a 120mph slide......I loved it!!!

132?? the rev limiter is 132??? WTF i went 133 max before and had no prob, i only slowed down cuz a curve came up....even a gxe, still...132?? i have ae so neone know the rev limiter for that?

only SE maxima can get to high speeds like over 130mph...cuz of the tires and because its a sport edition i guess
