Don't do it...

I had posted before where I did it for some stupid reason, well in the long run I had the car die on me 4 times while going down the road, I had a very unsteady idle, and the rpm's would try and search for the right spot and this is very uneasy on the driver because you don't know it the car is going to stay cranked or not. I actually just set mine back to stock today. These are just my opinions from experience!

I believe Avalon (Or someone) was working on a right-up concerning this. There was discussion that the TB never opened up fully at WOT and they have an adjustment they make (Whether they touch the TPS at all or not, I don't know - just offering this up to you guys.) Take a look on their site, maybe they finished it.

ok fill me in on the details. I was searching, and I came upon a post where you did the adjustment to the TPS but did you ever adjust the throttle plate. Also you mention you made the adjustment because your ZEX kit called for it. So the problems you got, where they before or after installing the kit and making the adjustments? And how is the car running now after correcting the TPS? Is your car running better? I hope things worked out.

Well after having alot of horrible problems that came from this, I had to take it to the speed shop that I let work on my car and it took them about 3 weeks but they were successful at fixing it! So I went ahead and sold the nitrous and got the supercharger and the car is running good so far. I was only able to drive it one day after the supercharger install because I broke the belt!! But it is getting fixed and I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow so that I can wash it and it will be ready for NOPI NATIONALS this week!!!!

Do NOT do it!

If you mess with the TPS, replace the MAF, idle air control valve, etc. you MUST perform an "Idle Air Volume Relearning" procedure.

It's doesn't seem difficult, especially if your a dealer with access to Consult, to do this procedure, but IMPOSSIBLE without a FSM/ESM.

Leave it alone, since the "gains" would be minimal and not noticeable. Now if your boring the TB, MAF, intake, etc. then you should perform the procedure.

I've tried posting a few of these procedures and data specifications for the org members, but so far they are unreadable once my Car Domain website shrinks them down they get to blurry.
