Turbo Maxima's
Turbo Maxima's
I have a question about turbo Maximas. They are V6's but single turbo? So you only have an exhaust manifold / turbo on 3 of the cylinders and the other three just have a normal header/exhaust manifold? All of the V6 turbos that I see for Mustangs and other domestics are twin turbo V6. I was not able to find a single turbo V6 domestic out there.
I can imagine that it would still work but sounds "unbalanced" to me. Is this how TurboMax's car is setup? I was trying to find a writeup on the Eibach turbo max but could only find a few pictures of the engine bay, nothing detailed.
Can anyone shed some light?

Grand National's are single turbo V6's and are friggin fast...
Im running a single turbo setup. Realistically speaking, a single turbo is enough...why go twin when you dont need to? espically on a stock motor you wont even get benefits of twin turbo...

i dont think everyone will understand that Jeff...haha
anyways, someone metioned to me that i should do a sequential setup. I belive if you size your turbo properly, you dont need a sequential setup. There are Supra guys that dont like the sequential setup. Some opt for a single turbo upgrade or twin turbos but same size.

How do you mean you "brought it up"? Do you know the owner or have connections to Woodchester Collision?

I've also seen pictures of the Woodchester Maxima, and the pictures were labelled "Turbo Maxima". Could be wrong, maybe it just has an S/C or nitrous?

Woodchester Nissan is in Mississauga, Ontario. The GM of the dealership that I bought my car at agreed to have that Maxima appear at the second Maxima Meet I organized in Toronto.
You have to hear that thing! It's the most aggressive sounding Max I've ever heard!
