Any 5th gen experience what "seems" to be valve clatter? I am the original owner and have never run anything but 93 octane in my 00 max. It has what seems to be some "clatter"
stemming from the valves. Under moderate/heavy throttle it happens - not under normal/light or mid - heavy throttle. I know my tranny slips 1 - 2 gear cause of the fu**-up NISSAN has - the TSB. Could this TSB cause the prob??? I'm Going to have the tranny fixed next week but would like to know if I need to ask about the clatter as well.

 

I get a ticking noise for the first 10-15 minutes after startup... only at idle... and it goes away... Is that what your talking about? Of course I was told this was normal.
