okay, i just got 2 amps, a dvd player-monitor, speakers and a sub installed in my new 2002 max--i went to u of h today and am sitting in the parking lot waiting for a spot & my max just dies--i try to start it but it just starts clicking, it sounds like it wants to start but won't, like theres something wrong with the efi or something--i try to jump it but no luck--so it's not the battery--i get it towed to the dealership and they say it is probably the computer needing to be recoded with the key or something like that--will my 36,000 mi warranty be voided simply because i have a nice stereo system put in??--one of the guys at the dealership said it will if it is caused by an electrical problem--does this sound right--he said it would be about $70 to recode it if that is the problem and if the warranty is void--does it sound like that's the problem??

p.s. i can't explain how sad it was to see my 6 day old max on the tow truck

Some people reported the key not starting the car. It happened to me once. I just waited a few hours and then the car started.

If the stereo install did cause the problem I would ask the stereo place to pay the bill.
