Production Altima 3.5 SE manual tested and....
matched times just about everyone here predicted for the 2k2 Maxima 6speed.
Motorweek television which I think is a branch of Autoweek tested a 2k2 Altima 3.5 SE Manual. Times are as followed:
0-60: 5.9 seconds
1/4: 14.4@100mph
If you can remember, those best MotorTrend times of their Preproduction tester. The Maxima SHOULD and BETTER best the 1/4mile time.
Friday I got to test drive BOTH 2k2 Maxima GLE and Altima 3.5SE during my day at the dealer doing a job shadow experience. Both were auto and the person told who I job shadowed told me to floor the car and he will use his stop watch to see how fast it was to 60mph. On both cars, we got 0-60times between 6.4-6.8seconds. This was with two people in the car and both cars under 100miles on the odometer, too. I know these aren't correct times, but this does give you an idea of the cars potential performance.

I always thought these CO. were a division of one another since Motorweek always say "Our friends at Autoweek weekly magazine says" and they quote them. I guess I was wrong. Oh well, I live in a small town with limited channels and this show comes on once a week on PBS I wish I get speedvision
