Hey kev,
what is that for? Does it help it from heating up or something like that?

it prevents his exhaust from getting scratched up if he goes over a non-import friendly speed bump.

Does it make a BIG difference in noise levels without the resonator? I was thinking about doing mine too, but didn’t know what to expect. Thanks.

looks good

you wrapped the enire exhaust

I thought you were only did the y-pipe...

anyhow, header wrap is for keeping the exhaust temperature up... hotter exhaust gas = greater exhaust velocity = better flow.

It muffles clanking noise because it won't be metal on metal. Only my y pipe wrapping smells after driving hard....... smells like baked cookies (I'm serious).

Nauman answered why I wrapped it.

Thanks for helping mingo.

Ran out of exhaust wrap, so part of the b pipe isn't wrapped.

ummmmmm, I dont think anybody asked for this...

How did you wrap the whole exhaust without cutting the wrap into smaller pieces. When i wrapped my y-pipe I could not just go around in circles, the header wrap was rolled up to big so I had to cut and make it so I could fit it.

Get 50 ft of 2" wrap. You can find them at Summit Racing.

Either take the y pipe off or be patient.

It'll be easier if you took the pipe off.

I don't know a whole lot about materials and their susceptibility to heat, but do you think Stainless Steel would crack like that? I would think that you need a lot of heat for a really long time for that to happen

Not really hotter... just keeping the temperature more stable as it flows throught the piping.

Nope... no "ricer drive over bump" coming from me, but I do go over high ones at an angle.

Took the pics while the car was parked near the sidewalk. Hehehe
