no, the bracket should bolt right up. But you have to use 6th gen rotors, not your stock 5th gen rotors, of course...

if you use 6th gen rotors and calipers, they bolt up with no bracket....meaning that the spindle mounting points are the same for the 5th gen as for the 6th gen.

The adapter brackets for the 4-piston caliper (caliper only) upgrade are machined to place the caliper in the same position as the stock 6th gen caliper.

Since we can bolt the stock 6th gen caliper and 6th gen rotor up in place without adapter brackets, it follows that the adapter brackets for the wilwood caliper in that kit will bolt on and do the same exact thing on a 5th gen, provided that you're also using 6th gen rotors.

Edit: irish beat me to it...welll in advance.

Haha, ya I'm planning to just run 6th gen Brembo blanks. But what about the 6 pot? Too much for the front?

$300 more for what? It won't make any difference for street driving (and might actually mess the brake balance up more). Only worthwhile if you're looking for the "bling."

The 4-pots are sufficient for cars heavier than ours doing track duty. They're plenty for a street-driven maxima.

I figured it would throw the balance off too much.

So irish, did you order the included BP-10 pads or request HPS pads?

I didn't request anything. I was told that the HPS was the standard pad that they came with, which is what i wanted anyhow.

no, only on the front.

the 6th gen rears have an internal drum-style ebrake, completely different from ours. So the 6th gen rears will NOT work at all on the 5th gen.

That's about $500 + brackets and hardware...

The fastbrakes kit puts it all together for you for about $590.....and provides the correct brackets and hardware.

irish...did they fit okay on your matt blehm 2 piece rotors...please let me know if you had to grind these down and how the balance is if you get these

It's driving me crazy to grind down the pads a huge amount each time I get new ones all because of the hats being a few millimeters too large in diameter!
the hawk hps pads also seem to deposit pad layer on the outer half of the rotor which means they have to be machined after every event...I guess the hawk hps pads don't mate well with the type of metal/surface the 2piece rotors are since I never had any problems with my 1 piece ones...

I haven't tried them with the 2pc yet, but the swept area on the OEM's is 2" from the outside edge, and the 2pc rotors have about 2 1/2" of face, so they should work no problem.

irish, have you had the 2 piece rotors turned/machined yet? were you running hawk hps on them? at a recent autocross, I got the dreaded pad deposit transfer which is common amongst two piece race rotors and less than race compound pads (ie. hawk hps), so it looks like I have to get them turned for the first time...

I had them turned a while back after I assembled them, just to make sure they were true. I'll turn them again before they go back on the car in the spring. no material transfer problems here....

All you need is 6th gen rotors, at least for the 5.5 gen

Great deal for a bolt on kit
