How to remove the sunglasses holder?

How do we remove the sunglasses holder door on a 2k-2k1 Max?
It has some sort of hinges but not sure how it is removed?

I'm not sure you can remove just the door.

Unscrew the whole thing down. Then there should be the rotating peice with pins in it that you could push on then it should come off...Did that make any sence?

Isn't the new one just a push button open rather than the tab open? I like that...

Well ok since you asked? I wanted to take it off since I have the self adhesive brushed aluminum vinyl from Signworks. Taking it off will allow me to carefully place the vinyl on (around the tab etc.).

I was thinking of doing the center console door for the cup holders? Any idea of how to take that off as well?

Yep, open the tray and look up. Then, undo the screws and the whole unit will pop off. Unfortunately, the center console is not so easy.

Good luck,
