03 navigation in a 00 max????

03 navigation in a 00 max????

can i place the 03 navigation system to a 2000... if so what do i need to do.

sure, but you'll need the whole harness, kinda of a big job and expensive, you're better off buying an aftermarket unit.

IM pretty sure this thread is in the org some where else. I commented on it, the guy wanted an 03 nav cause he thought aftermarket was more prone to get stolen by thieves.

why would you want to go to all the trouble to get the parts and install a slow CD based nav in your car...when you can get a cheaper aftermarket unit that is WAY faster since its hardrive based? plus the aftermaket one has a better nav interface with more option. plus most newer ones can store and play audio files

you can have the new pioneer avic-d3 installed at bestbuy for free w/ pruchase plus it had GPS navi, in dash dvd, and a bunch of other things. Back up camera as well. Ohh that all for about 1-1200 bucks were as you would spend close to 2 grad for modify the factory one.

holy crap, i didnt know navigation systems were that expensive.. looks like i'll be sticking with the old "we're not lost.. i know exactly where we are" philosophy

Shop around online, im sure you'll be able to get it a bit cheaper on ebay or craigslist.

if going aftermarket, u can try

I got one with dvd/navi. for half price, mint condition. Plus all wires connected, just plug and play (10 min. install).
