Track Night With 2002 Auto!

Hello I have a 2k2 GLE automagic, Tonight was track night, (test and tune for $10 bucks), and I went with some friends' and my 2k2 GLE, I got to the track at about 6pm, and with 1,375 miles on my car, and a little under full tank of gas, (the max gets great highway mileage), I asked around if I should race my 1375 mile car, and everybody said, HELL YEA!!, so I ran 4 times in the span of 4 hours, heh, I let my car rest ALOT!....

1st, R/T .626 15.42 @ 91.4 mph
2nd, R/T .589 15.35 @ 92.2 mph
3rd, R/T .610 15.39 @ 91.9 mph
***BEST TIME *** 9:44 PM 10/18/01
4th, and best run, R/T .535 15.20 @ 93.1 MPH 66 degrees F' dry, low humidity

I should have taken out that 16 inch spare tire, and ran the fuel down past half tank, had lots of wheel spin, the wheels actually kept spinning the first run though 1st gear, it was awesome, beat a prelude, GSR, 96 maxima SE 5-spd, and a V6 camry SE... hehehe, they were all my friends tho, we raced each other... Im going back to the track when I have about 5,000 miles, I may do some mods, what do you guys recommend??? And YES I WILL BRING AVIDEO CAMERA FOR DOCUMENTATION.

Awesome Paul! With an intake, you should hit 15 flat. Y pipe and VB, you are in the high 14's. I should be able to hit mid 14's easily. I hope.

What were your 60 foot times? 2.2?

Still not king of the hill? It's closer to king than a 2000 automagic...

You beat a 96 5-speed???? It looks like you guys had pretty good conditions....what did he run??? If he was stock with those conditions...he should be running VERY low 15s to 15 flat. My buddy Neal ran a 14.8 in his BONE stock 96 5-speed.

Cool that is as fast as a TL-S and CL-S. With a lot less gas, no spare wheel, lower front tire pressure and good tires, good manual shifting (if necessary), etc.. that car might be able to do high 14's stock!

Damn...GREAT TIMES!!!!

It takes a shia-load of mods to get an Accord V6 to low-15's and you 02/autotragic guys are doing it stock. Me jealous

Yea , he ran 15.3 when I did my last run at 15.2, it had an intake and 18's. It was my boy's , yes on stock tires he can do 14.98 with his intake.

I only got the car to hit 6,000 rpm, I should have manually shifted but I was sorta worried because I might hit redline, and the car only had about 1375 miles.

Im sure with 5,000 miles and less gas, no spare tire/jack, and manual shifting Im very sure I can do better, that night I just floored it and hoped for the best.
