Wheel Bearing FTW. Lots of max have problems with them. I would venture to say that is the case. Sway bar link ends probably wouldnt happen only on a turn, rather over bumps etc.

+1 wheel bearing, just had mine fixed on passenger side. Fix it soon or the tech will not be able to remove it. I left mine too long and labour was expensive

If it is the wheel bearing it isn't all that hard to fix yourself, with the exception of pressing it out of the knuckle. I took on doing mine myself with limited experience under my belt. I bought a 12ton shop press from Harbor Freight to do the job (Cheap and easy to return when I was done with it).

Even with the press I was not able to get the bearing out of the knuckle. I eventually just took it with the new bearing and new hub to Pep Boys and paid them 45$ to press the old one out and the new one in. Mine was so bad that I also had to replace the hub, it was all chewed up.

Ended up costing me ~250$ to do it myself ordering parts from Dave B.(The shops I called wanted 350-450$ not including replacing the hub).
