02-03 Maxima w/remote XM satelite mounted?

My wife has an 02 GLE and wants XM satelite, the Express or SkyFi 2 unit. There's a perfect mounting spot right above the GPS screen on the dash. I'm trying to stay away from all the wires hanging around. Does anyone have this setup and where did you run all your wires? Do you have your antenna inside or out? Where are you getting your power from if you're not using the lighter plug in. Thanks for your time.

i have sirius, but i have mine stuck on the windshield, the wires go into the dash, right behing the unit, and then they are hooked up to my FM modulator and the power(wired into the back of the cigg lighter).

i have see people make or get custom mounting brackets to mount them. i will take a pic of my set up for ya and post it when i get home.

ps. that is a hot mustang... i miss my torino

i have sirius and i just put mine near the cupholder and stuck all the wires between the seats and have the power connected to the outlet in the rear seats i just stuck the antenna on the roof...it's magnetic and is stuck pretty tight...i just hope it doesn't leave a mark when i remove them lol

here's some pics

i use the cassette adapter since the sound is much crisper and louder and clearer with that compared to listening through the fm thing.

Sirius Sportster4, antenna on roof above windshield. Power is coming from an extra cig lighter plug hidden behind the dash. About $8 from Autozone.

you could purchase a bracket from www.pro-fit-intl.com or www.bracketron.com they make them specifically for the maxima. i did my own install. but i also do car installation 4 a living so that why it looks the way it does any question ask away. the plug u see in the lighter is 4 my phone not the sirius it wires up beind the dash. and the antenna is on the roof outside the car. puttin it inside word but u tend to lose reception in certain areas do the roof blocking the satellite signal

I have the Pioneer Airware (XM) and I have it sitting in my cupholder. Being a manual, the front cupholders aren't exactly the best place for drinks, so I leave it there. Power goes to the rear 12V jack. I have the antenna mounted on one of the child seat anchors on the rear deck. Ran the wire down the side and under the passenger seat. Pretty clean, and easy to relocate.
