A/C Drain Info - Water Collection Problem

I think I am having trouble with my A/C drain. I am collecting water on the pasenger floor when the A/C is on. It seems to be traveling via the insulation immediately behind the plastic heater vent running along the passenger floor (closest to console). I looked in the service manual and the drain seems to run outside the firewall just above the passenger floor. I putn the car on a lift and found a tube coming through the firewall at about the right spot. It blows air when the fan is on and blows out water when the A/C is on. I think this is the drain for A/C condensation. Can anyone confirm this.

The plastic drain pokes out of the firewall about a half inch. The hole is wider than the plastic drain and there is some spongey insulation around the drain. This is soaked. It looks like the water being drained is dripping down on the insulation, soaking it, and possibly making its way into the car that way.

I checked a dealer to see whether a hose is supposed to be on the end of the drain. The parts guy said the A/C drain is on the bottom of the car and it is just a grommet. It doesn't sound like the drain I found and based on what I've seen I think the guy at the dealership is wrong.

Does anyone know whether the drain I described is actually the drain for the A/C condensation from the car? If not then what is it? Also, does anyone have a hose attached to this drain? It seems like a very short piece would be helpful to get the water past the insulation.

Thanks.

I don't know if thats the ac drain hole but on two previous cars that my family owned a Monte Carlo and a Buick Regal the ac drain line got clogged and all we did was shoot some compressed air in it to clear the junk out of it. Hopefully this will work for you.

Does anybody know whether the exhaust I've described is actually the A/C drain line?
