*Video* of completed touch screen/Climate control relocate/Computer

Well, It's been 2 years in the making. Slowly working on the car, getting everything just right. Well, she's finally done! For a while I was looking at a big hole in my dash, as I broke the TV on install - but I finally bought a new one, and hooked up the computer.

Enjoy!

(It looks like it is hard to touch the screen, but it was just because I was looking through the camera, and not at the screen itself.)

PC - P4 1.4 ghz, 512 ram, 40 gig HDD, external 300gb hdd,
TV - 7in Lilliput touch screen
GPS - Houlex receiver. Streets and trips 2007 software

Climate control was made from fiberglass, by hand, by me. See bellow thread for the making off...

Thanks. Will do - I just moved, so things are a bit crazy right now - but once I get settled in, I'll take another day video. it just looks cooler at night.

that is some serious work. did you end up just taking your rear view mirror off? i remember you saying that moving the climate control up there blocked the view.
looks like you should just throw a camera on the back now, since you have that screen in.

That is... Probably the slickest electronics setup I've ever seen in a car! Props for all the custom work you did and how extremely nice it came out!

Thanks guys for all the props! It was a lot of hard work, but it is all worth it in the end. As far as cost... well it really wasn't too bad - I'd say close to a grand. It's all the time that went into it that would really costs a lot if I were to have it done. The TV and the computer were the most expensive parts to buy. The rest was just Mats - (fiberglass, putty, Wire, Paint, etc.) it needed a TON of wire to relocate the Climate control, as there were approx 15+ wires running to it, and each wire had to be extended 10 feet to reach the roof. There were easier ways of installing it, but I didn't want easy - I wanted diffrent. Im sure I can say that no one else has a setup like mine, and that's hard to say these days!

Guys, please lets not do this in the thread - take it to PM's. I understand by doing a mod, and posting it, not EVERYONE is going to like it, and It's fine. He could have chose better wording on his intial post, but whatever. lets just drop it. But thank you for defending me, and my work.
