Front strut tower brace (eBay kind)

I recall reading on the 3rd generation forums that the cheap eBay FSTBs are not actually that bad. They may not have the visual aesthetics as the more expensive versions but they do what they are supposed to do. Has anyone purchased one of these (see below) for their 5th gen? Comments (fit/finish/performance)?

all FSTBs do the same thing (that isnt much)
only weak part is welds but should be ok

Considering the price of the FSTB is about $30, is there a better alternative (namely stronger welds, perhaps better visual aesthetics) that someone has purchased and can recommend that can be purchased for a little more?

I guess I'm more curious as to the perceived improvement of handling, because an FSTB did wonders for my 3rd gen, but the 5th gen just seems to be far more solid in its handling.

well see now, you are gonna have to search if you want to know other options.

FSTBs have very limited gains. i have one (Otto) cause it was cheap and looks good in the engine bay

From: Auburn WA,
My friend with an 04 alti bought an eby unit and it was about a halfe inch short and didn't have any adjustments so I would reccomend one that is threaded at the end for adjustment
